BRIDGET MOYNIHAN ISN’T DATING NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS’ QUARTERBACK TOM BRADY ANYMORE - BAR OBVIOUSLY QUITE HIGH FOR NEXT BOYFRIEND
FITSNews - December 17, 2006 - We haven’t done a poll on this or anything, but we’re pretty sure New England Patriots’ QB Tom Brady wins the “Guy Most American Men Are Jealous Of” award.
Well, it’s probably between him, Brad Pitt, Gavin Rossdale and former South Carolina Gov. Jim Hodges.
Anyway, as of last week that seat on the red leather sofa next to actress Bridget Moynihan is available, but talk about a tough act to follow.
Seriously, you could be good-looking, rich and have three Super Bowl rings, but if you only won the MVP award once you’re still not good enough (Brady’s won it twice).
In fact, we think the only thing that could make Tom Brady any cooler would be if a plane he was piloting all by himself (after he finished delivering life-saving medicines to the children of Papua New Guinea) accidentally flew into a storm and went down somewhere over the South Pacific, leaving him stranded on a deserted island like Tom Hanks’ character in Cast Away, and after surviving on nothing but fish and coconuts for four years he escaped on a handmade raft with a football named Wilson, and after being rescued and doing an emotional interview on Oprah about losing Wilson at sea, an interview in which he almost started to (but definitely did not) cry, he then went back to New England and won three more Super Bowls and two more MVP awards.
Because that is just how Tom Brady rolls.
In any event, fearing that the public furor over the Brady-Bridget Breakup (say that five times real fast) might have an adverse impact on Tom Terrific’s fantasy performance this weekend in the Joker City Football League playoffs, Sic Willie made the difficult decision to bench him in favor of Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo, whose relationship with Jessica Simpson is still going strong.
Romo, for the record, threw for 278 yards and two touchdowns Saturday in the Cowboys’ 38-28 win over Atlanta. That’s good for 21 fantasy points - or five more fantasy points than an obviously distracted Brady registered Sunday against the lowly Houston Texans.
