S.C. Legislators Unveil “Sanford Clock”
BIG BEN-SIZE CLOCK MONITORS HOW MUCH TIME MARK SANFORD HAS LEFT IN S.C. GOVERNOR’S OFFICE
FITSNews - April 23, 2007 - Hours after S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford unveiled a spending clock to track how fast taxpayer dollars disappear in Columbia, state legislators unveiled a “Sanford Clock” to track how much longer they will have to put up with the governor and his publicity stunts.
“Wind that sucker up,” all 170 members of the S.C. General Assembly were quoted as saying, in unison, while setting their wristwatch alarms to coincide with the countdown.
You know, the whole “Pigs in the State House” thing was pretty cool, but Sanford’s publicity stunts have gone downhill in recent years. Interestingly enough, experts who are also FITS girls agree this is the result of Sanford shifting his attention away from barnyard animals. “Pick Up A Wrench For Change,” anyone? … Anyone?

Maybe if our legislators would just realize who they are working for (us the tax payers) and come to grips with their spending habits. It’s high time that they give us back some of our monies. To be continued…
