White Supremacist Serving on Nikki Haley’s Statewide Grassroots Steering Committee

Roan Garcia Quintana, Executive Director of the “Americans Have Had Enough Coalition” will be holding a press conference today with Sen. Tom Corbin and Rep. Mike Burns at the state house at 10am to oppose the S744, a federal immigration bill. A quick Google search will show that Mr. Garcia-Quintana is a very active Republican activist in Greenville with deep ties to the White Supremacist movement. He is the former Director and current board member of the Council of Conservative citizens, the largest white nationalist group in the country and direct descendant of the white Citizens Councils that fought to defend Jim Crow segregation during the 1950s and 1960s.

Mr. Quintana is on Nikki Haley’s 2014 re-election steering committee. That’s right, a white supremacist is on Nikki Haley’s steering committee.

Garcia-Quintana was featured in the 2010 Washington Post article about the NAACP report that linked the Tea Party to white nationalism.

Council of Conservative Citizens Statement of Principles:

http://cofcc.org/introduction/statement-of-principles/

(2) We believe the United States is a European country and that Americans are part of the European people. We believe that the United States derives from and is an integral part of European civilization and the European people and that the American people and government should remain European in their composition and character. We therefore oppose the massive immigration of non-European and nonWestern peoples into the United States that threatens to transform our nation into a non-European majority in our lifetime. We believe that illegal immigration must be stopped, if necessary by military force and placing troops on our national borders; that illegal aliens must be returned to their own countries; and that legal immigration must be severely restricted or halted through appropriate changes in our law and policies. We also oppose all efforts to mix the races of mankind, to promote non-white races over the European-American people through so-called “affirmative action” and similar measures, to destroy or denigrate the European-American heritage, including the heritage of the Southern people, and to force the integration of the races.

(6) The traditional family is the basic unit of human society. We believe in the traditional family as the basic unit of human society and morality, and we oppose all efforts by the state and other powers to weaken the structure of the American family through toleration of sexual licentiousness, homosexuality and other perversions, mixture of the races, pornography in all forms, and subversion of the authority of parents.

David Keene, President of the NRA and past chairman of the American Conservative Union, barred the Council of Conservative Citizens from their annual CPAC conference in 1998 saying, “We kicked them out of CPAC because they are racists.”

So… Are we taking bets on whether he stays on the re-election committee?

Shouldn’t Sen. Tom Corbin be in More OK offering encouragement to the tornado victims rather than in the cesspool of SC.

I think you’re confusing him with Tom Coburn. CORBIN is a state senator from Travelers Rest

The NAACP report in 2010 found EFFORTS of white supremecist groups TRYING to link themselves to the TEA Party movement. The TEA Party is not a racist movement. Lax enforcement of immigration laws on the books is a valid and separate issue not based on racism. The TEA Party renounces white separatism.
