South Carolina Is “Just Right?”

South Carolina has one of America’s most secretive, corrupt and dysfunctional governments. Its government-run school system is the worst in the nation. South Carolina has one of America’s most secretive, corrupt and dysfunctional governments. Its government-run school system is the worst in the nation. Its people are disproportionately fat, lazy, uneducated and poor. And the only way our state’s “leaders” ever create jobs is by bribing companies to come here – at the expense of existing businesses and taxpayers.

Don’t believe us? Our state’s chronic economic, educational and governmental failure makes news literally everyday. Including today …

According to taxpayer-funded propagandists, though, everything is coming up roses in South Carolina. In fact here’s an excerpt from a totally pointless new promotional website called SC Just Right (which was produced in conjunction with the S.C. Department of Commerce, S.C. State Ports Authority and S.C. Department of Parks Recreation and Tourism) …

For those who live here, play here, work and invest here, South Carolina is more than a state. It’s a state of mind. From our picturesque coast to our breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains — and from our small towns to our big cities and big businesses — there’s something about the Palmetto State that makes it just right for people from all walks of life and for companies of all kinds and sizes.

The ‘Just Right’ campaign reflects the relaxed, welcoming spirit of our state, and the tenacious charm of her remarkable people. It’s a non-partisan, state-pride anthem that celebrates bbq, flip flops, backroads and sweet tea. It’s a rallying cry for South Carolina that recognizes things aren’t always perfect (but that they’re always getting better). Singular and powerful, ‘Just Right’ draws on the different reasons and voices of all the different people who love our great state. Ultimately, the sentiment says what so many want to but can’t find the right words for… or quite put their finger on: that South Carolina is ‘Just Right.’

Yikes … so which “Up With People” douchebag wrote this nonsense? And when can we schedule an appointment to punch him in his face?

Seriously what’s next: State employees answering telephone lines with “It’s A Great Day in South Carolina?”

Oh … right. Never mind …

More to the point: Are things really “always getting better” in South Carolina? Not if you’re a kid. Or an entrepreneur. Or a taxpayer. Or any of a whole helluva lot of other descriptors …

But hey … let’s just keep paying people to lie to us via not-so-clever slogans. Because that might work …

How about you fucking move instead of whining about it? You have a choice. That’s better than any third world country.
Don’t let the door hit you.

There’s some merit to what you are saying.

Thing is, there’s some people who really want to try to “fix” it and don’t want to abandon SC, so they have to whine….hoping that anyone other than the NSA in gov’t will listen and do something about the general state of shittiness.

They have ‘hope’ for gov’t….I’m not one to piss on their wheaties…but if you want to I understand.

Young “Fits” avoids the cardinal rule about “bitching.” If you are going to criticize, always be prepared to offer a solution. Otherwise, no one gives a Fits shit what you have to say.

He shares that trait with the “Tea Bag” whiners.

Mr. Folks has offered many suggestions, some of which I agree whole heartedly. Just because you don’t like the solutions offered, doesn’t mean they weren’t.

As to those that whine without offering solutions, well… Lets say your post seems to be lacking.

I’ve never bought into this notion that you have to have a solution to identify a problem…it’s downright crazy in my opinion.

You’re not allowed to speak up when something is wrong just because the solution doesn’t easily present itself? Bullshit.

Calm down folks. You have to understand that there are only 8 days left in the month. Ms. Sic is already chewing on Sic Willie about the money for the mortgage payment. So Sic is laying the ground work for another big article on how his boss man Howie will save the day with his private school scam.

Couple of things come to mind:

1. Which political consultant turn mini-media mogul produced this crappy website/media campaign. And how much did they get paid. Was it Quinn, Pearson, or Donahue or who?

2. How will this sync with the Haley campaign? Will they have a crappy think tank produce even crappier research that she can use on the campaign? Or will these three agencies with large budgets begin pushing her issues?

3. All three agencies have either portions of their budgets “off the books” so their expenses can’t be seen or they have large numbers of consultants and media expenses so they can be “buried in plain sight” , which of course is sign of future budgets being spent in a way contrary to the interest of the citizens.

In any event, this is about Nikki Haley. Our tax dollars. her gain.

As long as the voters troop dutifully to the polls and elect or re-elect the same malefactors, nothing will change. Watch. It will happen again in 2014.

As confirmed by recently released statistics regarding class mobility, South Carolina is just a racket for the political class. They loot the place dry, including the rich federal largesse. “Yankee dollar and Confederate dumbness,” as Robert Penn Warren said. Thank the imported, colonial English class system for this. Then and now the elites piss on the South Carolina people 24/7.
